Robert Lawrence, ViolinistRobert Lawrence, violinist, serves as Co-Director of Programs for All Seasons Chamber Players, and provides verbal program notes at All Seasons concerts. He has had a varied performing career, ranging from Karl Munchinger’s Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra in Germany to Frank Loesser’s Guys and Dolls on Broadway. Bob is currently concertmaster of the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, associate concertmaster of the Springfield (MA) Symphony, and assistant concertmaster of Opera Saratoga (formerly Lake George Opera Festival). He has appeared at the Grand Teton, Colorado, and Spoleto Festivals, and has served as concertmaster for the Mid Atlantic Opera, Teatro Lirico D’Europa, and the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale. He studied at Yale University and the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy. Bob currently teaches private lessons through the RiverArts program in Westchester. |
Lisa Hansen, FlutistThe New York Times described Lisa Hansen as "irresistably lyrical" and praised her "considerable coloristic variety". Her recording of Rodrigo's Concerto Pastoral with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (EMI Classics) was lauded as "eloquent" by American Record Guide and "Brilliant" by the Belfast Times. Her recording of Carl Nielsen's Flute Concerto (Centaur) with the NY Scandia Symphony was a "Best of the Year" selection by Fanfare. A graduate of the Julliard School, she won the New York Flute Club Competition and was featured in the Emmy Award-winning CBS-TV Documentary "Julliard & Beyond: A Life in Music". Formerly principal flutist of the Mexico City Philharmonic, Ms. Hansen performs with the Grammy nominated North/South Consonance ensemble. Ms. Hansen was concertized extensively in the United States, Latin America, and Europe and is a Flute Profesor at Keane University |
E. Zoe Hassman, Cellistattended Curtis Institute and graduated from The Juilliard School. Zoe is one of the most in-demand performing cellists in all genres. She continues to perform her audience-friendly cello recitals to enrich, uplift and make a difference to her listeners. Zoe’s mission is to “...have cello & kindness...will travel...for humanity.” Among her other exciting projects Zoe most recently performed as the only cellist for the poignant musical Benny and Joon at the Paper Mill Playhouse. She will perform with the legendary jazz bassist, Ron Carter, at Merkin Hall at Lincoln Center this fall. Jean Strickholm, Pianist and HarpsichordistJean Strickholm, pianist, and harpsichordist, has served as Co-Director and Manager of All Seasons Chamber Players since its founding in 1981. She studied at the Eastman School of Music and Red Fox Music Camp. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Rochester and holds an MA in Education from Queens College. Private teachers include Isabelle Sant Ambrogio, Vera Tisheff and her grandfather, Alfred Boeker. She is a frequent performer of chamber music and four-hand music in the metropolitan area. She is cited for her music management and other civic activities in various Marquis Who’s Who publications. |
Jacqueline Schiller-Audi, Pianistholds degrees from The Juilliard School and The Mannes College of Music. She has performed extensively as a chamber musician and soloist with several orchestras including the Martinu Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall. She has She is collaborated with members of the New York Philharmonic in chamber music recitals at Merkin Hall, the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, the Guggenheim and the Roerich Museum. Jackie is a member of the Alacorde Piano Trio which performs throughout the metropolitan tri-state area as well as “Double Take,” the Battersby-Schiller two piano duo. Her recordings include a solo piano CD, a recording of music for two violins and piano with her parents, Allan Schiller and the late Eleanor Schiller, a recording of three Beethoven violin and piano sonatas with her father, Allan, and most recently a CD with her piano trio including works by Piazzolla, Gershwin and Turina. Jackie lives in Paramus, NJ with her husband and three children and maintains a busy private teaching schedule. She is happy to be joining the Ramapo College Music Department this year as an adjunct professor. |
Joel Rudin, Viola, Guest ArtistJoel is a former member of the Laurentian String Quartet which toured the United States, Canada, and Asia.l He can be heard on recordings of the Musical Heritage Society, Soundspells Productions, Newport Classics, and Plerian Records. He has played with the New York Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony, and the American Symphony as well as on Broadway. He is Principal Viola for the Symphony of Westchester and the Delaware Philharmonic and played Principal Viola with the Long Island Philharmonic, New Jersey Festival Orchestra and numerous other orchestras. |
